Naga City is found in the Southern part of Luzon, within the Province of Camarines Sur. It is 377 kms. south of Manila and about 100 kms. north of Legaspi City. Total land area: 8,448 hectares, covering 27 barangays.
People and Language. Nagueños are of Indo-Malay, Chinese and Spanish ancestry. Year 2000 population: 139,775. Nagueños speak Bikol, the regional language; Filipino, the national language, and English, the language for commercial and legal transactions
Climate and Rainfall. Naga has a tropical climate. It has three pronounced seasons: wet and rainy season from June to October; cool, dry season from November to February; and hot, dry season from March to June.
Trade and Commerce. Government and private offices operate Mondays thru Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some private offices are open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Department stores and malls are open 9 a.m. to 7and 8 p.m. daily.
